Salfit, April 14, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continue to close the northern entrance to the town of Al-Zawiya, west of Salfit, for the fifth day in a row, exacerbating the suffering of citizens and disrupting their daily lives.
Local sources reported that the closure of the main entrance to the town of Al-Zawiya caused significant difficulties in the movement of citizens, especially students and teachers, and directly affected patients by hindering their access to health centers in a timely manner, in addition to traders and business owners incurring economic losses as a result of the disruption of commercial activity.
The northern entrance to the corner is a vital artery that connects several areas in the northern, central and southern parts of the West Bank, making its closure a cause of almost complete paralysis of daily movement.
The municipality of Al-Zawiya and local institutions appealed to official and human rights bodies to intervene urgently to pressure the occupation authorities to reopen the entrance, lift the restrictions imposed on the town, and alleviate the suffering of its residents.
