Gaza, May 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the Strip has risen to 72,615 martyrs and 172,468 wounded since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023 .
The same sources explained that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 3 martyrs and 11 wounded people during the past 24 hours.
She noted that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 834, and the total number of injuries to 2,365, while 768 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble .
The sources indicated that a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them until this moment .
