The Israeli troops raided the city of Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank on Sunday and captured two resistance fighters.

Iyad Al-Takrouri and Musab Mazhar, two young guys, were reportedly detained by Israeli special forces after they besieged the home they were residing in Nablus’ Old City.

A perimeter was imposed around the Old City, and sniper soldiers mounted a number of structures overlooking the al-Qaysariyya neighbourhood while occupation patrol reinforcements invaded the city from several directions. They are also positioned in the Ras al-Ain neighbourhood and the Chrome Ashour region.

The occupation soldiers detained Takrouri and Mazhar from inside an abandoned home after hearing many explosions and gunshots in the neighbourhood.

The shooting attack that targeted a military outpost of the occupation in the town of Hawara on March 25, 2023, is blamed by the occupation on the two young men, Takrouri and Mazhar.

A person was shot in the lower extremities by live ammunition during violent clashes that broke out near the Old City, and there were other cases of tear gas inhalation, one of which was sent to the hospital for treatment.

The Directorate of Education made the decision to move back school start times by an hour in the area of the Old City.
