Vancouver (Canada) 29-4-2026 WAFA – The President of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, renewed the support of the Asian football family for the Palestinian Football Association, stressing its inherent right to organize matches on Palestinian territory without obstacles .
This came during Sheikh Salman’s chairmanship of the 36th General Assembly meeting of the Asian Football Confederation 2026, which was held in Vancouver, Canada, in the presence of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, presidents of continental federations, presidents and representatives of Asian national federations and officials of the Asian Football Confederation .
Sheikh Salman said: “We must not forget the struggle of the Palestinian Football Association to exercise its right to organize its tournaments on its land. This right is guaranteed according to the regulations and systems of the International Federation of Football Associations, and we are keen to provide full support to the Palestinian Federation in this regard in a way that contributes to the success of its future plans and programs . ”
