To mourn the martyrdom of the prisoner Khader Adnan in the Israeli occupation prisons, the Gaza Ministry of Education and Higher Education organized vigils in schools.

The students displayed images of the martyr Khader Adnan and placards condemning the crimes committed by the occupation against our people and the rights of inmates in jails during the morning assembly. On the school radio, speeches were also given that included bereavement eulogies for the martyr as well as messages to the outside world about the issue of the suffering of our brave prisoners.

These programs are a part of the Ministry’s program for establishing and spreading values in schools, which includes engaging with all national problems and events.

Khader Adnan, a prominent prisoner of the Islamic Jihad Movement who embarked on a hunger strike to protest his unjust administrative detention, passed away today at daybreak, according to the Occupation Prisons Administration.

According to the translation provided by the “Safa” agency, Yedioth Ahronoth Daily reported that prisoner Adnan was discovered comatose in his cell after reaching the 86th day of his hunger strike.

After checking on his condition and having a medical test, she continued, “It was obvious after he was taken to the hospital that he had died.”
