The home of the martyr Moataz Salah al-Khawaja was destroyed by an explosion on Tuesday morning in the village of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah.
A big contingent of the occupation army invaded the town tonight, encircling the home of the martyr Al-Khawaja’s family as well as nearby homes with an estimated 50 military vehicles.
In order to prepare the house for demolition, the occupying soldiers assaulted the home of the martyr Al-Khawaja as well as a number of other residences, forcing the residents—among them an elderly woman—to flee.
He emphasized that the occupying forces brought a lot of equipment with them, which they moved throughout the residence.
The occupation forces and several young men engaged in violent altercations as they blocked the highways and hurled Molotov cocktails, pyrotechnics, and other projectiles at the soldiers throughout the entire town. Nearly five hours passed during the raid.
The residence was destroyed by the occupation during the early hours of this morning when the town was rocked by additional explosions.
A young man was hit in the foot by live ammunition during the fighting.
Last February, after conducting a shooting attack in Tel Aviv’s Dizenkov neighborhood, Al-Khawaja was killed when the Israeli authorities detained his father and son and decided to demolish their home.
