The internal masses lament the martyr Omri’s death and call for justice for the crime of his killing.
The remains of the martyr Diyar Omri (20 years old), who was shot dead by a settler in the inner village of Sandala after being attacked in his car yesterday evening, Saturday, were buried on Sunday afternoon in the occupied Palestinian territory.
In their funeral chants, the attendees denounced the occupation and its settlements’ increasing atrocities against the Palestinian people worldwide.
The mourners called for an answer to the crime of killing little Omari, a stop to the attacks on Palestinians by settlers and troops of the occupation, and a refusal to keep quiet about them.
Prior to that, two young men from the family of the martyr Omari from the village of Sandala were detained by Israeli occupation police on the grounds that “they obstructed the course of the court session.” The martyr’s murderer was presented before the occupation court.
In order to conduct an investigation, the Occupation court extended the homicidal settler’s detention for an additional week.
There is a palpable sense of sadness and grief in Sandala, and many locals as well as delegations from other areas of the nation visit the martyr’s home.
Since this morning, the community has been the scene of a widespread strike to protest the killing of Martyr Omari.
And on Saturday night, a settler killed the young Omari after assaulting him in his automobile close to the Marj Bin Amer region in the interior of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
