An uprising in Sandala and an extension of the settler’s detention for murdering the martyr “Al-Omari”

In protest of the murder of her young son, Diyar Omari (20 years old), by a Jewish settler, who carried out the killing after the two men got into a brawl close to the hamlet on Saturday night, the village of Sandala in Marj Ibn Amer, northern occupied Palestine, is taking part in a nationwide and all-encompassing strike on Sunday.

In the course of his interrogation, the murderer, Dennis Bukin (32), a former member of the “Golani” unit of the occupation army who had left days prior to his scheduled deployment as a reserve soldier, claimed that he had “shot the murdered martyr Omari in self-defense,” claiming that he had been “assaulted and shot after he felt the danger to his life.”

The town of Sandala is filled with a sense of loss and grief, and many residents as well as delegations from various Arab groups visit the family home of the martyr Diyar Al-Omari to comfort them and stand by their side as they suffer greatly.

Today, following the Asr prayer, the murder victim’s funeral and burial will take place in his village of Sandala.
