Athens, April 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Organizers of a flotilla of aid ships bound for the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday that Israeli occupation authorities stormed ships in international waters near Greece.
The organizers said that storming the aid ships bound for the Gaza Strip represents a further escalation of Israel’s impunity.
The Global Resilience Flotilla initiative explained that Israel seized the ships hundreds of miles from Gaza .
“This is piracy, an illegal detention at sea near Crete, and it confirms that Israel can operate with complete impunity, far beyond its borders, and without facing any consequences,” she said in a statement.
It is noted that a second flotilla carrying humanitarian aid sailed to the Gaza Strip from Barcelona, Spain on April 12, in an attempt to break the blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation .
