Ramallah, April 30, 2026 (WAFA) – The European Union Representative to Palestine, Alexander Stutzmann, said that the European Union has launched a program to provide relief to victims of settler attacks, with the aim of providing them with proactive protection through volunteer groups on the ground, and establishing an integrated system to enhance their security.
He added: “The European Union is treating settler attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank as a wake-up call. Unfortunately, we could not prevent these events from happening, but we can strive to ensure they do not happen again .”
Stutzmann noted that the European Union is currently studying firm political measures, along with other actions, including launching a victim relief program .
The European Union representative’s remarks came during an extensive field tour organized on Wednesday for the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Palestine, with the participation of the European Union Special Envoy for the Peace Process, Christophe Bigot, and a number of international ambassadors. The tour included a visit to the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, to see the effects of the recent settler attacks .
