The opposition groups fired a salvo of missiles toward Israeli towns and settlements today, on Saturday, in reaction to the continuing assault on the Gaza Strip as part of the “Revenge of the Free” campaign.
Many communities in the so-called “periphery of Gaza,” including “Lakhish: the southern industrial zone, Ashkelon, Zikim, Karmiyeh, Netiv Ha’asara, and Nahal Oz,” heard warning sirens.
The opposition groups have been launching frequent missile barrages towards Israeli towns and settlements, notably Tel Aviv, since last Wednesday midday and in retaliation for the attack against the Gaza Strip, which has so far claimed the lives of 33 martyrs and injured scores more.
According to the translation of “Safa” in this context, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth claimed that since the onslaught on Gaza began, a number of Israeli settlers had been hit by rockets fired by the resistance, resulting in one death and hundreds of injuries.
