Hebrew media has claimed that the Israeli occupation army thwarted the smuggling of weapons from Jordan to the occupied West Bank through the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby) by a member of the Jordanian parliament.
Hebrew media has reported that the occupation forces “searched the car of Jordanian MP Imad Al-Adwan and found inside it a large amount of weapons distributed over 3 bags, containing 12 long weapons, 27 pistols, 167 Glock
pistols, in addition to 100 kilos of gold.”

The Hebrew media pointed out that the Israeli forces arrested the Jordanian MP and confiscated the quantity of weapons and gold in his personal car.
According to the Hebrew media, the protocol allows the passage of a member of the Jordanian parliament without inspection, but information that reached the occupation intelligence was a reason for activating customs and
carrying out the inspection process.
Meanwhile Jordan’s official response, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a l-Majali said, “The ministry, in coordination with all concerned authorities, is following up the case of MP Imad Al-Adwan, who was arrested by the Israeli occupation authorities, for investigation against the background of an alleged smuggling of quantities of weapons and gold.”
Al-Majali added that the ministry, in cooperation with the concerned agencies in Jordan, is working to determine the merits of the incident and address it as soon as possible.
