In turn, Gharib reviewed the struggles of the Fatah movement, stressing that it will remain the instigator and pioneer of the contemporary Palestinian revolution and that it will remain the sole representative of the Palestinian decision until the achievement of the state, which will inevitably gain its freedom, and Fatah will remain the leader of the march until freedom, independence and return. This anniversary constitutes a symbol of the continuity of the struggle and the continuation of its flame and light that illuminates the path of liberation and dispels the darkness, and a message that the flame will not be extinguished because the generations hand over to each other .
Ambassador Mustafa also affirmed that the launch of the Palestinian revolution restored to the Palestinian cause its national and pan-Arab dimension and established in Arab and international consciousness the fact that the Palestinian people have a right and that their struggle for freedom and independence is a legitimate struggle guaranteed by international laws and conventions, until the Palestinian voice became strongly present to carry the message of a people who believe that dignity is not given but rather seized. He stressed that the anniversary of this day, which coincides with what our struggling people are going through, makes us bow in reverence before the great steadfastness of the Palestinian people, who have faced policies of oppression, uprooting and displacement over the decades, and have made great sacrifices in order to preserve their national identity and historical rights until they proved that they are an exceptional people in their ability to be patient and steadfast and that they are able to turn pain into strength and suffering into a motivation to continue and that the will of peoples cannot be broken by force .
The Assistant Secretary-General said that what the Palestinian people are going through today places a great historical and moral responsibility on all of us, Arabs, officials and institutions. For his part, Abu Madalla affirmed that the anniversary of the revolution restored the people’s name, the land’s address, and the rifle’s honor, and made Palestine a national liberation cause that cannot be reduced, compromised, or defeated .
In his speech on behalf of the PLO factions, Abu Madalla said that the factions affirm that the contemporary Palestinian revolution was and will remain a comprehensive liberation project, and that its true essence lies in national unity, partnership, and resistance in the face of occupation, aggression, and the open war of extermination to which our people are subjected, especially in the Gaza Strip. He pointed out that national unity is the spirit of the revolution, the secret of its launch, and the strongest weapon in the face of the war of extermination. He added that the PLO will remain the fruit of the revolution, the product of sacrifices, and the comprehensive national home, and that there is no alternative to it, nor is there legitimacy for any project that bypasses it or diminishes its role. He called on all factions to formulate a unified national struggle strategy – political, popular, and field-based – to confront the aggression against Gaza, to counter the annexation and settlement projects in the West Bank, to defend Jerusalem, and to protect our people’s inalienable national rights.
