Munib Al-Masri, the chairman of the board of directors of the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment, and Ambassador Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Muraikhi, the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, met on Monday.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Muraikhi hailed the work of the Munib and Angela Al-Masry Foundation and the Jerusalem Endowment Fund as successful institutions for Palestinian development.
The Special Adviser was briefed by Al-Masri on the most recent developments in the Palestinian cause, the suffering of the Palestinian people, and a description of the charity and development initiatives taking place in Palestine.
He discussed the UN’s efforts in the areas of humanitarianism and charity, as well as the formation of partnerships between the global business sector and UN organizations to fight poverty.
In order to advance philanthropic and development activities in Palestine, it was decided during the meeting to strengthen collaboration and partnership with United Nations organizations and the Palestinian private sector.
