The group claims that historical developments have demonstrated that everyone is “in front of a fascist apparatus that seeks with all its might and various arms to thwart it, suppress our feelings, and rob us of our freedom and rights.”
On the other hand, the occupying forces make every effort to coercively convert Lydda to Judaism by bringing in extremists and taking advantage of their religious celebrations.
The committee emphasized that “the volume of malicious rumors spread by the Israeli occupation police and its municipality to thwart the demonstration indicates their inferior, racist, and extremist view of the Palestinian existence.”
