The family of “Abu Al-Khair” decided to donate their late loved one’s corneas today, Saturday, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.

In a brief statement obtained by the “Safa” agency, the ministry confirmed that the late Zuhair Yusef Abdullah Abu al-Khair’s family had donated his corneas in order for them to restore hope for two people who had lost their sight. He was from Jabalia, and his family continued this ongoing charitable work by donating his corneas.

The national cornea transplantation program in Gaza was introduced by the Gaza Ministry of Health at the end of August 2022.

The government invited people to donate the corneas of their departed loved ones under the heading “and those who revived them.”
