The sixth edition of the Haifa Independent Film Festival, which will run until May 7, 2023, was introduced by the festival’s staff today, Wednesday, at a press conference held at the “Khashaba” theatre with a group of Palestinian filmmakers.
The Haifa Independent Film Festival’s founder and director, Roger Khalif, stated to “Arabs 48” that the festival’s staff “puts the city of Haifa on the map of the Palestinian and Arab through a bridge of cultural exchange with the Arab world.
Additionally, he said that the festival offers a venue for cultural interaction and the screening of films from the Arab world, as well as giving the new generation of filmmakers a name for their cultural output.
According to him, “More than 20 films will be screened during this edition of the festival, distributed in various cultural and artistic spa
CES in the city, which are Khashabah Theatre, Narrative Theatre, Fattoush Gallery, and the Arab Culture Association, in addition to musical evenings and workshops on cinema.”
