Jericho, February 11, 2026 (WAFA) – Fifteen families were forced to leave their homes in the village of Deir al-Dik al-Tahta, west of Jericho, on Wednesday, after settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers, demolished their homes made of tin and cement in the “Istih” area on Tuesday.
Fatah Secretary in Deir al-Tahta, Issam Samrat, told Wafa that the families , who belong to the Ara’ara family, left their homes as a result of their destruction and the bulldozing operations carried out by the settlers in the surrounding lands for the purpose of agriculture and preventing citizens from using them .
The Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights indicated that the bulldozing caused direct damage to the agricultural lands of families, in the context of the continued violations against the people of the region .
