New York, February 7, 2026 (WAFA) – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) issued a shocking statement on Saturday regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in both the Gaza Strip and Sudan, warning that the situation remains extremely fragile and deadly for thousands of children .
The organization stressed that the children of Gaza are still suffering under the weight of air raids and are experiencing a complete collapse in the health, water and education systems, making survival a daily challenge .
These reports reflect the extent of the international failure to protect the most vulnerable groups in conflict zones, where bombing, hunger and epidemics combine to create an environment that repels life.
UNICEF renewed its call for a cessation of hostilities and the opening of safe corridors to deliver life-saving aid before it is too late in those disaster-stricken areas.
