Nablus, March 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Three citizens were injured in an attack by settlers on Sunday morning on the village of Jalud, southeast of Nablus, and four vehicles and the village council headquarters were set on fire.
Sources in the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its crews dealt with 3 injuries from assault, one of them a young man who was assaulted by settlers and suffered a deep head wound.
Security and local sources explained that a number of settlers attacked the village, assaulted the citizens, set fire to the village council headquarters, and burned four vehicles belonging to citizens Hamed Yaqoub Mutair, Fadi Hammoud, and Wasfi Salim Al-Hajj, three of which were completely burned.
In this context, sources indicated that a group of settlers attacked citizens in Qaryut, south of Nablus, but the citizens confronted them and expelled them from the place.
The Factional Coordination Committee in Nablus Governorate condemned the ongoing attacks carried out by settler militias against our Palestinian people, especially in Nablus Governorate, which are taking place under the direct protection of the Israeli occupation forces in flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions and in full view of the entire world.
In a statement issued by the Factional Coordination Committee of Nablus Governorate, it said that the organized and deliberate attacks carried out by these militias, and the provision of full support and capabilities to them by the Israeli occupation government, in assaulting and terrorizing defenseless citizens, intimidating them, destroying their property, stealing their money, and attempting to impose a new settlement and security reality by force of arms on our people, constitute a dangerous escalation aimed at displacing our people and entrenching the criminal apartheid regime. These are war crimes and crimes against humanity committed on Palestinian land in malicious ways and at a continuous pace against citizens. We affirm this in the Factional Coordination Committee of Nablus Governorate.
She stressed that the international community’s silence and failure to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the crimes of the occupation forces and settler militias encourages them to continue committing their crimes.
