Bethlehem, December 24, 2025 (WAFA) – The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein al-Sheikh, received this evening in Bethlehem, the representative of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Interior Minister Mazen al-Faraya .
The Sheikh welcomed Minister Al-Faraya, and conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas to his brother King Abdullah II, and thanked him for the steadfast Jordanian positions in supporting the rights of our Palestinian people in all forums .
He also briefed him on the latest developments related to the Palestinian issue, and the continued attacks and violations by the Israeli occupation forces and settler terrorism against our people, their property and holy sites, stressing the importance of the Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites, especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem .
For his part, Al-Faraya conveyed the greetings of King Abdullah II to President Mahmoud Abbas and offered his congratulations to His Excellency and to all the Palestinian people on the occasion of the holy holidays. He reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and people .
