In Ramallah, the occupation forces tightened their procedures in the vicinity of the governorate, as they closed a number of checkpoints to the movement of citizens in both directions, namely: Ein Sinya, Atara, Aboud, Yabroud, Silwad, the entrance to Rawabi, Beit Ur, the northern entrance to the city of Al-Bireh, and prevented citizens from entering or leaving.
In Bethlehem, the occupation forces closed the southern entrance to the city, “Al-Nashash”, and the gates of the villages of Al-Manshiya and Umm Salmuna, and the roads of Marah Rabah, Jorat Al-Shamaa and Al-Manshiya, with iron gates, which caused disruption to the movement of citizens and restricted their movement .
This morning, the occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, and took up positions in several neighborhoods, without any arrests being reported.
In the Salfit Governorate, the occupation forces closed most of the entrances to villages and towns with iron gates, including the eastern entrance to the town of Marda, the gate of the town of Deir Istiya, the gate located near the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, and the entrance to the town of Deir Ballut .
The occupation forces also closed the Jaba military checkpoint, which separates the towns of Al-Ram and Jaba, and is considered the main entrance to the governorates of Ramallah, Al-Bireh and Jerusalem .
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the number of military checkpoints and gates in the Palestinian territories has reached more than 916, including 243 gates that were erected after October 7, 2023.
