Ramallah, January 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint this morning at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah .
Local sources reported that the occupation forces set up the checkpoint, stopped a number of vehicles, and checked the identities of citizens, causing a severe traffic jam .
The entrance serves the villages of Bani Zeid al-Gharbiya (Beit Rima, Deir Ghassana, Kafr Ein, and Qarawa), as well as the city of Salfit and some of its villages .
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the number of military checkpoints and gates in the Palestinian territories reached 916, including 243 gates that were erected after October 7, 2023.
