Ramallah, January 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces launched extensive arrest and field investigation operations from yesterday evening until this morning, Thursday, targeting at least (80) citizens from the West Bank, including a woman, two children, and former prisoners .
The Palestinian Prisoners Club explained in a statement that the arrest and field investigation operations were distributed across most of the West Bank governorates, and were concentrated in the town of Al-Shuyoukh in the Hebron governorate, and in the town of Kafr Ra’i in the Jenin governorate, noting that the occupation continues to escalate arrest and field investigation operations at an increasing pace since the beginning of this year, and in an unprecedented manner after the genocide, which targeted all segments of Palestinian society, as collective revenge operations .
The club pointed out that the occupation has adopted a series of policies and crimes in the various areas it raids and carries out arrest operations in the West Bank. The most prominent of these policies are field investigations, which today constitute the most prominent policy implemented by the occupation in various governorates of the West Bank, without exception. Based on the information documented by the Prisoner Club, the occupation army, when raiding homes for the purpose of field investigations, forces families to leave the house, carries out acts of terrorism against them, and acts of sabotage and destruction inside the homes, before the arrest or subsequent detention. It also forces detainees to take off their clothes, in very cold weather .
The Prisoners Club reiterated that all current occupation crimes constitute an extension of the occupation’s approach, which has been in place for decades, to target the Palestinian presence and impose more tools of repression, control, and surveillance. However, the only change since the start of the war of extermination is the level of intensity of the crimes, whether the crimes accompanying the arrest operations, or the crimes against prisoners inside prisons and camps .
It is noted that the occupation authorities are continuing to carry out arrest operations, which constitute the most prominent of the fixed and systematic policies that they implement daily against citizens, as the number of arrests in the West Bank after the war of extermination has reached about (21) thousand arrests .
