Jerusalem, February 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities forced a citizen to demolish his own house in Jabal al-Mukaber, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, on Sunday.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation authorities forced the Jerusalemite citizen Yasser Maher Da’na to demolish his house forcibly in the Al-Sal’a neighborhood of the town, under the pretext of building without a permit, knowing that the house houses 4 people, and its area is about 100 square meters.
It is worth noting that the occupation authorities force citizens, especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem, to demolish their own homes, under the pretext of lack of permits. Those who refuse this procedure have the occupation bulldozers demolish the house and impose exorbitant costs on the owner .
The occupation municipality in Jerusalem refuses to grant Palestinians building permits, and demolishes or forces them to demolish their homes, in a procedure that contradicts international laws and humanitarian principles that guarantee the right to housing, as part of the occupation’s systematic practices to forcibly displace Palestinians from the city of Jerusalem, in exchange for expanding settlements in and around the city .
