Gaza, April 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the Strip has risen to 72,289 martyrs and 172,040 wounded since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023 .
The sources explained that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 4 new martyrs and 12 injuries during the past 24 hours .
She noted that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 713, and the total number of injuries to 1,940, while 756 bodies have been recovered .
The same sources explained that a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them so far.
