Gaza, January 28, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,667 martyrs and 171,434 wounded since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023 .
Medical sources reported on Tuesday that during the past 24 hours, 5 martyrs arrived at hospitals, including 4 new martyrs and a fifth whose body was recovered, and 6 others were injured by the occupation’s fire and shelling, while a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams are unable to reach them at the moment .
The same sources indicated that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 492, and the total number of injuries to 1,356, while 715 bodies have been recovered .
