Suhail al-Hindi, a member of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), affirmed on Tuesday that the movement, the resistance, and the factions are fully committed to the agreement, stressing that the resistance has no interest in concealing the body of any Israeli prisoner.
Al-Hindi told Al Jazeera: “To date, we have handed over 16 bodies of Israeli prisoners, and we ask the mediators to pressure the enemy to facilitate the retrieval of the remaining bodies of its prisoners.”
He added, “We made every effort to retrieve the bodies, and the occupation bears the responsibility for delaying the retrieval of the rest.”
Al-Hindi stressed that the resistance has no interest in hiding the body of any enemy prisoner or delaying its handover.
He added, “We are waiting for the occupation to approve the entry of teams into Rafah to search for the bodies of its prisoners.”
Al-Hindi continued, “The enemy must understand that we are committed to the agreement and must stop accusing us of violating it.
