Jenin, January 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Settlers stormed the evacuated Tarsala site south of Jenin Governorate on Thursday, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation forces.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed the Jenin-Nablus road near the towns of Ajja and Jaba, in preparation for settlers to storm the site.
The sources added that settler buses accompanied by mobile homes stormed the evacuated site of Tarsala, known as the “Sanur” settlement, near the town of Jaba’a, south of Jenin, which was evacuated in 2005.
It is worth noting that the occupation authorities approved the establishment of 22 new settlements in the West Bank last May, including the re-establishment of the “Homesh” and “Tarsala-Sanur” settlements in the Jenin Governorate.
