Settlers attacked farmers and foreign activists in the town of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, on Friday, preventing them from accessing their lands.
Local sources reported that a group of settlers attacked the farmers, accompanied by solidarity activists, as they were heading to their land in the southern areas near the bypass road and the “Al-Manateer” area to the east, forcing them to turn back.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, its teams have monitored a total of 158 attacks against olive pickers since the beginning of the current season. The occupation army carried out 17 attacks, while settlers carried out 141.
Today, settlers attacked a number of farmers in the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, and prevented them from harvesting olives on their lands located north of the town, in an area known as “Blue Mountain.”
Local sources reported that settlers residing in the new pastoral settlement outpost in the area attacked the family of Amer Khalil Abdullah while they were working their land, preventing them from continuing their olive harvest.
The sources added that the occupation army intervened to protect the settlers, detained the family members, and confiscated their phones before expelling them from the site, informing them not to return without an “entry permit.”
She noted that the settlement outpost was recently established with the aim of restricting farmers and preventing them from accessing their lands in the towns of Deir Ballut, Rafat, and al-Zawiya, where settlers have carried out several attacks in recent weeks, including shooting at farmers to intimidate them and force them to leave their lands.
