On Monday morning, settlers attacked activists defending residents of the Shakara community east of Duma, south of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.Al-Baydar Human Rights Organization said that a group of settlers assaulted a number of activists this morning while they were trying to prevent a settler from pouring water on the ground in the “Shakara” community east of the town of Duma.She explained that the protesters were standing with the residents to defend the area, before the settlers violently attacked them in an attempt to drive them away and enable the aggressor to continue his actions.She stressed that what happened reflects a repeated hostile approach targeting residents in agricultural and rural communities.She pointed out that the settlers resort to provocation and aggression to pressure residents and dissuade them from remaining on their lands.
