Ramallah, December 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Minister of Agriculture Rizq Salimiya discussed on Sunday with the head of the Arab Cooperation Department at the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), Ezz El-Din Abu Arqoub, ways to enhance joint cooperation during the next stage, particularly in the areas of food security and water security, in addition to ways to support the recovery of the agricultural sector in Gaza.
Minister Salimiya also discussed with Abu Arqub the progress of ACSAD projects implemented in Palestine, the urgent response to emergency needs, and support for the resilience of farmers in light of current challenges .
This meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Agriculture headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Bader Al-Hawamdeh, came as a continuation of the series of previous meetings between the Ministry and ACSAD, which emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and integrating roles in implementing agricultural programs and projects, in order to contribute to enhancing agricultural sustainability and confronting the effects of climate change .
Minister Salimiya stressed the Ministry’s keenness to expand the areas of partnership with “ACSAD”, and to benefit from its technical and research expertise in supporting the Palestinian agricultural sector, praising the center’s role in implementing quality projects that serve farmers .
For his part, Abu Arqoub affirmed ACSAD’s commitment to continuing cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and developing joint programs in line with national priorities and field needs .
