Gaza, February 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that thousands of patients and wounded people are facing an uncertain fate due to the collapse of the health system.
She explained that the remaining hospitals operating in the Gaza Strip, which are struggling to continue providing services, have become mere forced waiting stations for thousands of patients and wounded people facing an unknown fate.
She added that the catastrophic effects of the “health annihilation” have made the continuation of healthcare a daily miracle and a major challenge to recovery efforts and the restoration of many specialized services .
She pointed out that the depletion of medicines and medical supplies has turned the simplest painkillers into a luxury that those facing death every minute cannot afford, at a time when the percentage of zero stocks reached 46% of the list of essential medicines, 66% of medical supplies, and 84% of laboratory materials and blood banks .
She noted that cancer, blood diseases, surgery, operations, intensive care and primary care services top the list of services affected by the crisis, and that the limited quantities of medicines reaching the sector’s hospitals do not meet the actual need to continue providing health services .
She added: Saving the health situation in Gaza hospitals cannot be achieved through temporary emergency solutions that accumulate serious effects .
