Families of Israeli prisoners have attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements that Hamas leaders abroad are the ones obstructing the deal.
The families said that the attack on Qatar proved that Netanyahu is the sole obstacle to the prisoners’ return, and that it is time to stop using excuses aimed at buying time to continue clinging to power.
“Netanyahu’s clinging to power has cost us the lives of 42 prisoners and will lead to the deaths of others and the disappearance of the bodies of those killed,” the families said in front of the Defense Ministry headquarters.
Meanwhile, the father of Israeli prisoner Eitan Horin attacked Netanyahu, saying, “Anyone who wants to recover prisoners doesn’t bomb the negotiating team while the deal proposal is being considered.”
The mother of Israeli prisoner Matan Tsangawker attacked Netanyahu, saying, “He tried to destroy our hopes of recovering prisoners by targeting the Hamas negotiating delegation in Qatar.”
