Fatah Revolutionary Council member Fakhri al-Barghouthi said on Thursday that the Palestinian Authority has lost its way and is cheapening Palestinian blood.
Barghouti’s statement to Safa News Agency came in response to the martyrdom of resistance fighter Ahmed Hisham Abu Al-Foul, a member of the Nur Shams camp battalion in Tulkarm, affiliated with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, who was killed last night by Palestinian security forces.
He added, “If anyone had an ounce of blood, they would have moved to support the people of Gaza and Tulkarm; but for the Authority to move to shed Palestinian blood for the benefit of the occupation, this is the height of depravity,” as he put it.
He stated that “the Authority insists on losing its compass and insists on remaining in the context of defending the settlers, and believes that Palestinian blood is cheap.”
The member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council called on the Palestinian Authority to “realize that it is throwing itself into the abyss of the Israeli project, and no longer has any credibility to defend its justification for existence.”
He urged political forces to condemn and denounce what is happening, adding, “I wish that the Fatah movement, which supported what happened, would stand against the crime; it is unacceptable to justify the shedding of Palestinian blood and the attack on it.”
