Eight Lebanese civilians were killed and 22 others wounded on Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike, despite a ceasefire agreement between Iran, the United States, and Israel that includes Lebanon.
According to Lebanese media, Israeli warplanes struck a building in the Jal el-Bahr area near Hiram Hospital at dawn, killing four people.
The city of Sidon in southern Lebanon was also targeted, according to a statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The ministry explained that the Israeli strike caused significant damage in the city, while local media reported that the raid hit the waterfront, with images circulating showing the destruction of a cafe.
This attack comes amid an ongoing wave of military escalation in southern Lebanon, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis and reflecting rising tensions on the country’s southern border.
The occupation aircraft also targeted a point belonging to the paramedics of the Islamic Health Authority in the town of Shaqra, which led to injuries.
Israeli artillery shelling targeted the areas of Haniya and Mansouri on Wednesday morning.
The occupation forces also launched airstrikes on the towns of Shaqra, Hadatha, Rabaa Thalathin, the Abbasiya area, Kafra, and Jamejma.#Martyrs
