The Civil Defense Authority in Gaza said that the postponement of the start of operations to recover the bodies of the martyrs of the genocide war from under the rubble in Gaza came as a result of international institutions joining the search teams.
The spokesman for the agency, Mahmoud Basal, explained in a press statement on Saturday that postponing the announcement of the start of the first phase of search and recovery operations was a positive step, as international organizations had contacted them and requested to be included in the work system.
He continued, “These institutions will provide equipment, supplies, and working hours, and they asked us to wait two days to start working.”
He confirmed that the process will begin within two days, and this will be announced to the citizens.
The Civil Defense Authority announced that it would begin the first phase of the search and recovery of the bodies of the war martyrs on Saturday, with a bulldozer and a single excavator, in coordination with the International Red Cross.
The number of martyrs missing under the rubble from the two-year war of extermination in Gaza is more than 9,000.
