Rabat – Safa
The activities of the program “Jerusalem Nights in Morocco” were launched at the National Higher Institute of Music and Choreographic Art in Rabat. The program is organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency in partnership with the Burj Al-Laqlaq Community Association in Jerusalem and the Moroccan Association for Supporting Reconstruction in Palestine.
This three-day event comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, under the directives of Moroccan King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to strengthen the symbolic presence of the Holy City in human conscience and to reinforce the values of solidarity and steadfast support for its people and holy sites.
In his speech, the agency’s Acting Director, Mohammed Cherkaoui, affirmed that the “Jerusalem Nights” program reflects the agency’s commitment to using culture, creativity, and cultural industries as a human bridge linking Morocco and Jerusalem, enhancing awareness of the Palestinian cause, and supporting the steadfastness of Jerusalemites, in line with the city’s values and its religious and civilizational status.
Cherkaoui also highlighted the agency’s efforts in preparation for launching the Ramadan campaign in Jerusalem, aimed at supporting needy families with sufficient assistance to meet their needs throughout the holy month.
He reviewed the agency’s action plan for 2026 and the support projects directed toward health and educational institutions, in addition to implementing projects in the fields of culture and arts, as well as programs targeting children.
For his part, Palestinian Ambassador to Morocco Jamal Al-Shobaki stressed that Palestine’s safety net lies in its Arab and Islamic depth, foremost among them Morocco, which stands by Palestine economically and politically.
He noted that the “Jerusalem Nights” program will be reciprocated by “Moroccan Nights in Jerusalem” during the holy month of Ramadan, reaffirming the strong partnership with the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, which plays a prominent role in supporting Jerusalemites and strengthening their resilience.
Meanwhile, Nasser Gheith, Chairman of the Board of the Burj Al-Laqlaq Association, stated that the events of the “Jerusalem Nights” program are not merely a celebration, but rather a reminder of the spiritual, historical, and human significance of the Holy City in the conscience of the الأمة (nation).
Gheith praised the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of the Moroccan King, in supporting Jerusalem through its firm positions and practical initiatives, following a “steadfast approach” that reflects the depth of Morocco’s historical and emotional connection to the Holy City.
In turn, Amina Al-Talbi, a member of the office of the Moroccan Association for Supporting Reconstruction in Palestine, emphasized that “Jerusalem Nights” is a spiritual and cultural event that embodies the depth of the historical and emotional ties between the Moroccan people and Jerusalem and Palestine.
She stressed the importance of doubling efforts to strengthen solidarity with Palestinians through practical initiatives and field projects—an approach consistently pursued by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency.
