Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of raids and arrests in various areas of the occupied West Bank at dawn on Wednesday, targeting the wives of released prisoners.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested about 16 women during a raid on the city of Qalqilya, most of whom were wives of released prisoners.
An Israeli force stormed the city of Qalqilya from its eastern entrance and spread out in various neighborhoods of the city, including the Kafr Saba and Al-Naqqar neighborhoods, where they raided citizens’ homes and arrested citizens Asmaa Nawfal and Amal Nawfal from their homes. They also raided the home of prisoner Raed Al-Houtari and the home of martyr Jibril Jibril, searched them, and tampered with their contents.
In the same context, the occupation forces stormed the town of Kafr Thulth, south of Qalqilya, from its southern entrance, and spread out in the old town, raided several houses, and arrested the two citizens, Amina Shawahneh and Ikhlas Awda, before withdrawing after a raid that lasted about two hours.
The occupation forces also stormed the village of Siniriya, south of Qalqilya, and arrested citizen Dhawabi Younis after raiding her house, searching it, and tampering with its contents.
In this context, the Israeli occupation forces arrested, on Wednesday, 5 citizens from the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.
Security sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Liqya, west of Ramallah, and arrested Ahmed Najib Mufarja (62 years old), Fouad Rabah Assi (40 years old), and Musa Naaman Assi (58 years old), after raiding and searching their homes.
The sources added that the occupation forces arrested Muhammad Imad Al-Atshan (20 years old) from the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh city, and Muhammad Walid Abu Rabi’ (35 years old), from the town of Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya, northwest of Ramallah.
Also, the occupation forces arrested citizen Asia Ahmed Mar’i (45 years old) from Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of Salfit, after raiding and searching her house.
This morning, Wednesday, the occupation forces stormed the town of Aqaba, north of the city of Tubas, and deployed a number of military patrols to the town.
The occupation forces deployed on foot in the neighborhoods of Aqaba town, and raided a number of citizens’ homes in different areas of the town.
