This Wednesday morning, Nidal Mas’adeh, a school guard, was killed and an elderly man was moderately injured in a shooting incident in the town of Kafr Yasif in the Galilee region, in the lands of 1948.
A spokesperson for the Hayyan Medical Center reported that “Hayan intensive care teams provided advanced medical treatment to two injured men from the village of Kafr Yasif, one aged 35 and the other 70, who were shot. One of them later died.”
The number of murder victims in the Palestinian Arab community in the 1948 territories continues to rise, reaching 203 since the beginning of 2025. This is one of the highest death tolls in recent years, amidst government inaction and a worsening of organized crime.
Data indicates that 171 people were killed by gunfire, with 100 of the victims under the age of 30, including three children under the age of 18. Ten murders by Israeli police were also recorded.
