The Gaza Center for Human Rights said that Israeli forces have committed 36 ceasefire violations in the Gaza Strip, killing seven Palestinian civilians and wounding others, since the ceasefire agreement went into effect last Friday.
The center explained in a statement on Wednesday that its field team documented 36 airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire by Israeli forces since the ceasefire at 12:00 noon last Friday, October 10, 2025.
He stated that his team documented Israeli drone strikes yesterday morning on a group of citizens in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, killing five civilians as they attempted to inspect their homes, even though they posed no threat to Israeli forces. A civilian was also killed and another injured in a similar raid on the town of Al-Fakhari east of Khan Yunis, while casualties were reported in Jabalia and Rafah.
He pointed out that the remaining violations included gunfire and artillery shelling, the most recent of which occurred Wednesday morning, with most of the shelling concentrated in the eastern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip, targeting civilians attempting to inspect their homes and residential areas.
The human rights center explained that all Israeli attacks were unjustified and lacked any military necessity, demonstrating that they reflect the Israeli army’s attempt to maintain a state of fear and apprehension, and to maintain the equation of killing and bombing under various pretexts.
According to the human rights center, Israeli violations were not limited to gunfire and shelling, but extended to continued control and reduction of aid supplies. In recent days, only 173 trucks were allowed in, out of a total of 1,800.
He emphasized that Israel’s control over humanitarian aid supplies, its failure to adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, and its move toward further reductions in supplies constitute not only a breach of the agreement, but also an actual continuation of the crime of genocide by depriving civilians of their basic rights to food, water, and medicine, and imposing deadly living conditions.
He pointed out that these practices reveal Israel’s insistence on using starvation as a central tool in its strategy to destroy Palestinian society in the Gaza Strip.
He stressed that any attempt to link food or medicine to political or security considerations represents a flagrant violation of fundamental rights, foremost among which are the rights to life, dignity, personal safety, health, food, and water.
The Center reminded the international community that targeting, besieging, and starving civilians is prohibited under international humanitarian law, particularly the Geneva Conventions, and that the international community’s silence only encourages Israel to continue its scorched-earth policy.
The human rights center called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and work to compel Israel to implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement, expedite the investigation into the crime of genocide, and ensure accountability for those responsible.
