Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on the Lebanese capital Beirut early Saturday morning, while Hezbollah launched rocket barrages, including surface-to-surface missiles, towards towns and sites in northern Israel.
Sirens sounded in towns and wide areas, including Haifa and the surrounding region.
Israeli press reports spoke of the firing of about 10 surface-to-surface missiles and rockets, which fell in several areas.
Harballah said, “This morning, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the area around a helicopter landing pad that the Israeli enemy had created to evacuate its wounded in the border town of Maroun al-Ras with a barrage of rockets.”
Hezbollah fighters also targeted the Liman barracks north of Nahariya with drone strikes.
According to a translation by the Safa news agency, quoting Hebrew sources, damage was caused by a rocket falling in Kiryat Shmona near the border with Lebanon without the activation of the sirens.
Meanwhile, a number of Lebanese were killed as a result of Israeli raids on several areas in Lebanon, including the Bekaa Valley in the east of the country.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 1,368 people have been killed and more than 4,000 others injured since the start of the Israeli war following Hezbollah’s joining forces with Iran on March 2.
A building in Gesher HaZiv, near Nahariya in the Western Galilee region, was directly hit by a rocket barrage launched from Lebanon, causing a fire and property damage.
In the town of Ya’ara, near Shlomi in the same region, a drone struck an external office within the town, causing a fire in the building.
The Ministry of Health later reported that 32 people, including 3 paramedics, were injured and a hospital was damaged as a result of Israeli raids that targeted the south of the country this morning.
The ministry said in a statement that “11 people were injured, including 3 paramedics from the Lebanese Civil Defense, as an initial toll from two Israeli raids on the Al-Housh area in the city of Tyre.”
She added that “the two raids caused damage to the Lebanese-Italian Hospital, which is still continuing its work.”#Martyrs
