Alexandria (Egypt) 11-3-2026 WAFA – The Consul General of the State of Palestine in Alexandria, Muhammad Shaqoura, and a number of Palestinian students studying at Alexandria University, participated in the annual meeting organized by Alexandria University for its students of different nationalities .
The meeting was attended by the Acting President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, the Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hisham Saeed, the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Afaf Al-Awfi, the Executive Director of the International Students Department at the University, Dr. Hala Muqallad, the deans of the various faculties, in addition to high-level delegations from representatives of embassies and consulates accredited in Alexandria, and more than 200 male and female students from various Arab, African and Asian nationalities studying at Alexandria University at the undergraduate and graduate levels .
Abdul Hakim stressed that the university is keen to organize this annual meeting because it represents an opportunity to strengthen communication and cultural ties between international students from different countries around the world.
He pointed out that Alexandria University pays great attention to international students, considering them ambassadors for their countries within Egypt and ambassadors for the university after they return to their homelands, stressing the university’s keenness to provide a supportive educational and cultural environment for them, and to provide various aspects of academic and social care that help them achieve scientific excellence and enjoy their educational experience within the university.
He added that such meetings reflect the values based on love, brotherhood and rapprochement between peoples and the civilizational role played by Alexandria University in promoting cultural communication between different nationalities .
For their part, the international students expressed their great happiness at being among the university leaders, stressing that this meeting represents a special opportunity for rapprochement and strengthening communication between the cultures of different peoples. They also thanked Alexandria University for its great interest in international students and its role in promoting a spirit of cohesion among them.
