24 martyrs and wounded in ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip

For the 37th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation army continues its aggression and war of extermination against the Gaza Strip, launching air strikes and artillery shelling on various areas of the Strip.

Medical sources said that 24 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on various areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn on Wednesday, including 20 in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip.

Safa’s correspondent reported that the bodies of martyrs Abu Raafat Abdul-Baqi Muhammad and Mayan Tariq Suleiman Kaware’ were recovered from under the rubble of the Shabir family home, which was bombed by Israel yesterday in the center of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. 

He added that three civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a home belonging to the Hijazi family on Nakhil Street in the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

He stated that young man Muhammad Ali Abu Teir died of wounds he sustained a week ago, following an Israeli airstrike that targeted him in front of his home in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

 He explained that a citizen was killed and five others were injured when an Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area, northwest of Khan Yunis.

He reported that young man Bilal Saad Baraka was martyred as a result of an Israeli drone strike on the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis.He pointed out that the occupation army continued to demolish residential homes, while simultaneously conducting artillery shelling and heavy tank fire in the center and north of Rafah.

In Gaza City, civil defense crews recovered the bodies of 10 martyrs following an Israeli bombardment of the Yaffa School, which was sheltering displaced persons northeast of the city.

He said that his crews were able, with difficulty and under dangerous conditions, to reach the targeted homes of Al-Jalis and Al-Sharbasi, as well as other neighboring homes that were bombed and destroyed by Israel on Al-Nakhil Street, east of Al-Tuffah, east of Gaza City.

He pointed out that an injured woman was evacuated and six martyrs were recovered, while other martyrs are still missing under the rubble of their homes.

In the same context, a number of citizens were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed the Shaaban family’s home on Old Gaza Street in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.

Since March 18, Israel has resumed its war of extermination on Gaza, reneging on a 58-day ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas, brokered by Qatar and Egypt and supported by the United States.

According to the Ministry of Health, 1,890 citizens have been killed and 4,950 others injured since March 18, the majority of whom are women and children.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupation army has continued its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 164,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
