Rafah, February 8, 2026 (WAFA) – The Rafah land border crossing in the southern Gaza Strip was opened this morning, Sunday, to allow the departure of patients and humanitarian cases and the return of those stranded on the Egyptian side.
Wafa’s correspondent reported that the fifth batch of patients and humanitarian cases left through the crossing, after being prepared inside the Red Crescent Society, in the presence of representatives of the World Health Organization, to receive treatment in hospitals outside the sector.
He confirmed the arrival of the fifth batch of those stranded in Egypt at the Egyptian terminal of the crossing, in preparation for their entry into the Gaza Strip.
Since its reopening last Monday, the Rafah crossing has seen 189 patients and their companions leave, and 88 stranded citizens arrive.
