West Bank – Safa
The early hours of Thursday morning witnessed a dangerous escalation in settler attacks against Bedouin communities and Palestinian villages in various governorates of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The attacks consisted of arson and destruction of property under the cover of the occupying forces.
In the Bedouin community of Khallat al-Sidra, near the town of Mikhmas, in the Jerusalem district, a group of settlers infiltrated the community and set fire to at least two inhabited houses.
The fire completely destroyed their contents and caused panic among the women and children.
This crime comes just days after the occupation authorities declared the area a “closed military zone,” a move that residents see as a green light for settlers to forcibly displace them from their lands.
Settlers attacked the Bedouin community of Ma’azi Jaba’ northeast of Jerusalem today.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that settlers attacked the Bedouin community of Ma’azi Jaba’, but no clashes were reported.
In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, dozens of armed settlers attacked Khirbet al-Halawa and the center, chasing shepherds and preventing them from reaching the pastures, while cases of theft of citizens’ livestock and sabotage of water tanks were recorded.
In the Ramallah governorate, settlers stormed the outskirts of the village of Al-Mughayyir, slashed the tires of several Palestinian vehicles, and wrote racist “price tag” slogans on the walls of surrounding houses, before withdrawing towards the nearby settlement outposts.
In northern Jericho, settlers continued their siege of the “Auja Waterfall” community, where they set up “flying” checkpoints on the roads leading to the community to obstruct the arrival of solidarity activists and supplies to the besieged residents.#Settlers’ property
