Jerusalem, January 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their siege and closure of the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, for the third day in a row on Wednesday .
Our correspondent said that the occupation forces imposed a complete closure on the town’s entrances and exits, which hindered the movement of citizens .
During the ongoing raid, the occupation forces carried out dozens of raids and incursions into homes and shops, arresting 13 citizens, in addition to conducting more than 100 field investigations and interrogations inside homes, during which a number of citizens were subjected to beatings and abuse .
The occupation forces also seized more than 35 vehicles and motorcycles, and three houses in the town, turning one of them into a field investigation center, while other houses were turned into military barracks during the raid .
During the past night, the occupation forces intensified their raids, causing extensive damage inside a number of homes, deliberately vandalizing citizens’ property, and searching mobile phones, while two families reported that gold jewelry and sums of money were stolen from them during the storming of their homes .
The town’s schools also announced that they would suspend classes throughout the raid to ensure the safety of students, given the heavy military presence inside residential neighborhoods .
The Israeli occupation forces also demolished a commercial warehouse in Hizma, without prior notice .
