Jerusalem, January 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression against areas northeast of occupied Jerusalem for the third day in a row .
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation forces are carrying out bulldozing work inside the apartheid wall, specifically on the lands of the former Jerusalem International Airport, north of occupied Jerusalem, without carrying out a new raid on the area.
The occupation forces had notified on Tuesday of the demolition of shops in the vicinity of Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, and demanded that their owners evacuate them .
For the third day, the occupation army continues its extensive aggression north of occupied Jerusalem, including storming the town of Kafr Aqab and the vicinity of Qalandia camp, under the pretext of strengthening control along the separation wall and racist expansion, where it began demolishing Palestinian facilities .
This aggression falls within a systematic policy to tighten colonial control over the Jerusalem area, in light of claims in official Israeli reports that recently acknowledged the existence of wide gaps in the wall’s path, especially in the city’s vicinity, which the occupation is exploiting as a pretext to intensify its military and punitive measures against citizens .
The Jerusalem Governorate confirmed that the demolition work carried out by the occupation forces on Airport Street near Qalandia camp is being carried out on plot number (1) adjacent to the Qalandia Training Institute of UNRWA, which is land officially registered in the land registry under the name “Airport Lands – Treasury of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan ”.
