Ramallah, January 19, 2026 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation army issued a new military order to remove a layer of trees extending over an area of 35 dunams of land in Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.
Activist Jihad al-Qaq told Wafa on Monday that the targeted lands are identified on attached maps and marked in red, and include agricultural lands belonging to citizens, where the removal of vegetation and the relocation of trees, including olive trees, will begin as part of the planned procedures .
He pointed out that the decision grants the occupation army the authority to carry out the work within a short period of time, while allowing the affected landowners to submit their objections within only 24 hours of the date of the field tour, through the Liaison and Coordination Directorate .
The decision also states that these instructions shall enter into force immediately upon their issuance, and they were signed by the commander of the occupation army forces yesterday, Sunday .
Al-Qaq stated that more than 10 families will be affected by this arbitrary measure targeting agricultural lands and the rights of their owners under security pretexts, noting that the village council, in cooperation with the landowners, is proceeding with taking legal measures and objecting to the decision .
