Hebron, January 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces arrested seven citizens from Hebron Governorate on Monday, after storming their homes, searching them, and tampering with their contents .
Security and local sources told Wafa that the occupation forces raided the city of Hebron and arrested citizens Wael Al-Taweel, Amir Khairi Abu Hadid, Mukafih Abu Daoud, Nasser Hussein Al-Atrash, and Hussam Al-Muhtasib. From the town of Al-Shuyoukh in the north, they arrested citizen Muhammad Darwish Halaika, and from the town of Sa’ir, they arrested the child Muhammad Mutawwar (13 years old) .
The same sources indicated that the occupation forces imposed a closure on several neighborhoods in the southern area of Hebron, and closed several side roads with iron gates, cement blocks and earth barriers, and searched several houses, ransacked their contents and assaulted their owners by beating them .
The occupation forces also set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron, its towns, villages and camps, and closed a number of main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks and earth barriers .
